Orlando Johnson (196 cm, UCSB’12) has signed a deal with Unics Kazan (Russia-VTB) and will be joining the team this 2016-17 season. Johnson was a participant of the Milwaukee Bucks’ training camp roster, but failed to make the final cut. After studying his options, Orlando decided to return to Europe this season. This 2016 Johnson did a brief stint in China playing for the Guangxi Rhinos (China-NBL). In six games he posted impressive numbers, with 36.5 ppg and 7.5 rpg. This will be his first time to suit up for a Russian club. Orlando had played in Spain for Laboral Kutxa in 2014-15.
