Orien Greene heads to Ahli Benghazi

Former Boston Celtic guard Orien Greene (193 cm, La-Lafayette’05) will continue his professional career in Libya, playing for Al Ahli Benghazi this 2013-14. Greene was drafted by the Celtics as the 53rd pick of the 2005 NBA Draft. He began the 2012-13 season with the Milwaukee Bucks, but was released by the team after preseason.

In November 2012 Orien signed with the Los Angeles D-Fenders from the NBA D-League. He played in 29 games and averaged 11.3 ppg and 3.4 rpg. He later moved to the Reno Bighorns (D-League) in February 2013. He played 14 games for the Bighorns and averaged 9.6 ppg and 4.4 rpg.
