Melvin Johnson III (198 cm, Arkansas State’14) has recently signed on to play for the Moncton Miracles (Canada-NBL) this 2016-17. Melvin had a busy 2015-16 season, seeing action for several teams in the NBA D-League. He played 29 games for the Raptors 905 (USA-D-League) and averaged 9.8 ppg and 3.4 rpg. In March 2016 Johnson moved to the Texas Legends where he logged three games and recorded averages of 7.3 ppg and 2.0 rpg. Later, he headed to the Maine Red Claws. He played one game and scored one point and grabbed one rebound. In April Melvin agreed to terms with the Grand Rapids Drive. In his lone game he scored 11 points.
