Louisiana Gators added to ABA Expansion teams

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) www.abalive.com today announced that it has added the Louisiana Gators from Lake Charles, Louisiana to its expansion teams for the upcoming season.

“Expansion to Louisiana has been long overdue,” stated Joe Newman, ABA CEO. “And in Leroy Cain, we have found the perfect owner to put together a super organization as the state’s inaugural team.”

Leroy was raised in Jennings, LA and attended Jennings High School. After graduation, he joined the US Army as a Signal Support Specialist and served in Mannhiem Germany for six years. Following his service, he founded Diamond Auto Scrap and Salvage. “I love basketball and I think my hard work and dedication will allow great success for the Louisiana Gators for years to come,” stated Cain. My wife and I have put together a terrific group of people with a wide variety of skill sets to handle all of the many initiatives necessary to run a successful business. We have been welcomed by the city of Lake Charles and will make the entire area very proud of us.”

    I think Lake Charles had a CBA team back in the day too if I am not mistaken..
