Josh Duinker joins Lukoil Academic

Lukoil Academic Sofia (Bulgaria-NBL) has agreed to terms on a deal to bring in Josh Duinker (211 cm, Richmond’12) for the 2015/16 season. Duinker is a 26-year-old Dutch-Australian player who was a member of the Dutch national team in 2013. This will be his first time to play in Bulgaria. He played for the Sydney Kings (New Zealand NBL). In 28 games Josh produced averages of 5.6 ppg and 3.9 rpg. His team made is as far as the league semifinals in 2015.

In 2013/14 Duinker was on the roster of Zorg and Zekerheid from the Netherlands’ Eredivisie. He played 15 games for them in the EuroChallenge and averaged 15.3 ppg and 7.8 rpg. He also logged 43 games in the Dutch league and there he averaged 14.8 ppg and 7.5 rpg.
