Joseph Jones to play for Santurce

Joseph Jones (204 cm, Texas A&M’08) is headed to Puerto Rico to play for the Cangrejeros de Santurce (BSN). Jones is joining the team as a replacement for fellow American Will McDonald (211 cm, South Florida’03).

In 2012-13 Jones played for CAI Zaragoza from Spain’s ACB. He averaged 7.8 ppg and 4.1 rpg in 39 games as a reserve on the Spanish club. Zaragoza reached as far as the semifinals in the Spanish ACB and the Spanish ACB Supercup in 2013.

In 2011-12 he played for Altshuler Galil Gilboa from Israel’s Premier League. In 11 games representing them in the Balkan League he averaged 14.7 ppg and 4.6 rpg. In the Israeli Premier League he averaged 13.2 ppg and 5.7 rpg.
