Greg Smith newcomer to VEF Riga

Greg Smith (198 cm, Colorado State’13) has agreed to terms with VEF Riga (Latvia-LKL) and will be joining the club for the remainder of the season. Smith is coming off a stint with Regatas Corrientes (Argentina-Liga A) in February 2016. He played seven games for them and averaged 4.1 ppg and 1.7 rpg.

He started off 2015-16 playing in Israel for Ironi Kfar Hamaccabia Ramat Gan (Israel-National League). In five games Smith was able to produce averages of 13.4 ppg and 6.8 rpg. In January 2016 the Colorado State alum moved to Mexico where he played for Fuerza Regia Monterrey (Mexico-LNBP). He played six games for them and delivered averages of 11.7 ppg and 3.7 rpg.
