Elliot Williams heads to Panathinaikos

Elliot Williams (196 cm, Memphis’10) is bound for Europe after agreeing to terms on a deal with Panathinaikos Athens (Greece-A1) this 2016. The 26-year-old Memphis product initially began the  2015-16 season with the Charlotte Hornets, but in November 2015 moved to the Santa Cruz Warriors from the NBA D-League. He played 21 games for the Warriors and recorded impressive averages of 28.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg and 6.0 apg. In January Elliot was called back up to the NBA, this time by the Memphis Grizzlies. He has not played a game for the Grizzlies and has since decided to accept the offer of the Greek club.
