Darius Rice opts for Al Ahli

Darius Rice (208 cm, University of Miami’04) is bound for Qatar after penning a deal with Al Ahli Sports Club Doha (Qatar-D1) this 2016. This will be Rice’s first signing for the 2015-16 season. In 2014-15 he played one game for Maccabi Ashdod (Israel-Winner League). He scored three points and grabbed eight rebounds. Darius left the team in October 2014. In December 2014 Rice reached an agreement with Karpos Sokoli 2000 Skopje (FYR Macedonia-Prva Liga). He was able to appear in 14 games for the Macedonian club and registered averages of 16.4 ppg and 5.5 rpg. This is not his first time to play in Asia. He has had stints in Bahrain and the Philippines in the past.
