Damontre Harris joins Cherkasy

Damontre Harris Damontre Harris (208 cm, Campbellsville’15) will continue his professional career this 2016-17 with the SK Cherkasy Monkeys (Ukraine-Superleague). He spent the preseason with Maccabi Ashdod (Israel-Winner League), but it appears that Harris will be taking his game to the Ukraine instead.

He got some solid experience under his belt in his rookie season in 2015-16. Harris started off his career with PGE Turow Zgorzelec (Poland-TBL). He played six games for them in the FIBA Europe Cup and averaged 9.2 ppg and 7.8 rpg. Damontre also saw action in eight Polish TBL games and there he notched averages of 10.4 ppg and 8.3 rpg. He was released by the team in December 2015. Harris eventually made his way to Pertevniyal Istanbul (Turkey-TBL) that same month. The forward played 21 games for the Turkish club and averaged 12.5 ppg and 7.8 rpg.
