The Metros de Santiago (Dominican Republic-LNB) have secured the services of veteran guard Damien Wilkins (198 cm, Georgia’04) for the upcoming season. After his release from the then Charlotte Hornets at the start of 2015-16, Wilkins decided to continue his career in South America. Damien landed a deal to play for Guaros de Lara (Venezuela-LPB). He played eight games for them in the Liga Americas and averaged 17.9 ppg and 5.4 rpg. He also logged a total of 39 games in the Venezuelan league and there Wilkins dropped averages of 17.7 ppg and 4.1 rpg. In three Liga Sudemericana games Damien posted averages of 5.3 ppg and 3.3 rpg.
