Corey Hawkins (190 cm, UC Davis’15) will be making his European debut this 2016-17 as a new addition to the roster of Giorgio Tesi Group Pistoia (Italy-Serie A). This will be Hawkins’ first time to sign on with a club based outside of the United States. His rookie season as a pro (2015-16) was spent playing in the NBA D-League for a couple of teams. Corey headed to the D-League after parting ways with the Miami Heat. In October 2015 the player inked a deal with the Sioux Falls Skyforce where he was able to play nine games and average 2.1 ppg and 1.3 rpg. In December 2015 he moved to the Idaho Stampede where he finished off the remainder of the season. In 30 games Corey posted averages of 13.7 ppg and 3.5 rpg.
