Corey Hawkins signed by Antwerp

The Port of Antwerp Giants (Belgium-Euromillions league) has signed Corey Hawkins (190 cm, University of California-Davis’15) this 2016-17.  The 25-year-old Hawkins is coming over after beginning the season on the roster of The Flexx Pistoia (Italy-Serie A). He played six games for them before parting ways and Corey recorded averages of 12.0 ppg and 3.5 apg.

His rookie season as a pro (2015-16) was spent playing in the NBA D-League for a couple of teams. Corey headed to the D-League after parting ways with the Miami Heat. In October 2015 the player inked a deal with the Sioux Falls Skyforce where he was able to play nine games and average 2.1 ppg and 1.3 rpg. In December 2015 he moved to the Idaho Stampede where he finished off the remainder of the season. In 30 games Corey posted averages of 13.7 ppg and 3.5 rpg.
