Brion Rush (186 cm, Grambling State’06) has just gotten a contract extension to remain with BC Astana, from Kazakhstan’s D1, through the 2013-14 season. Rush, who holds both American and Montenegrin passports, began the 2012-13 season playing for ES Chalon-Sur-Saone from France’s ProA. He played eight games for them in the Euroleague and averaged 13.9 ppg and 3.1 rpg. When he played for Chalon in eight games in the French ProA, he averaged 14.0 ppg and 2.6 rpg. It was a short-term deal and he was later on replaced by Cedrick Banks in the roster.

Rush later on moved to BC Astana and managed to play four games for the club in the VTB United League. In that four-game run he averaged 17.3 ppg and 4.5 rpg.

Overrated player. Just an overpaid player for those leagues.
