Wendell McKines signed by Alaska Aces

New Mexico’s Wendell McKines (198 cm, New Mexico State’12) is headed to Asia after being signed by the Alaska Aces from the Philippines’ PBA. After sweeping their competition in the recently concluded Commissioner’s Cup the Aces are already looking ahead to the upcoming Governor’s Cup, where each team is allowed to add a single foreign player as an import.

He played his rookie season as a professional with SPO Rouen Basket from France’s ProB. He logged solid averages of 17.1 ppg and 8.9 rpg in 34 games in the French league.

In his senior year at New Mexico State, McKines averaged an impressive double-double with 18.7 ppg and 10.7 rpg.
