Trey Johnson to re-join Angelico Biella
Trey Johnson (196 cm, Jackson State’07) is heading back to Italy to suit up for Angelico Biella (Italy-SerieA) again. This is a return to the Italian squad as he wore their colors for four games in 2009-10 and averaged 11.5 points per game. Johnson, who has dual citizenship of the US and Qatar, has worn a number of different uniforms in the last five years. After leaving Jackson State University, where he ended his collegiate career eighth on their all-time scorer list with 1,698 points (two seasons), he was drafted in the USBL and the CBA. He was also put on the pre-season roster of the New Orleans Hornets, but ended up with KK Hemofarm Stada Vrsac (Serbia-A League). Over the last four seasons he’s bounced back and forth from the Bakersfield Jam (US-D League) to the NBA for a variety of 10-day contracts with Cleveland, New Orleans and the Los Angeles Lakers. He also spent time with Gravelines Dunkerque (France-ProA). Most recently he played for the Qatar National Team in the 2012 FIBA Asia Cup.

A bit hectic, but it’s a career of modern times.
