Tremmell Darden leaves Zalgiris

Tremmell Darden

Tremmell Darden (194 cm, Niagara’04) has left Lithuanian team Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuanian League, VTB League, and Euroleague) the club has announced. The reason given for the American forward leaving Zalgiris is due to the growing financial problems at the club. 32-year old Darden will now move to European giants Real Madrid in the Spanish ACB and Euroleague.

Darden has had plenty of game time in the Zalgiris team this season. He has played 20 games in the Euroleague and averaged 9.9ppg and 3.9rpg, 16 games in the VTB Leauge with numbers of 8.7ppg and 3.9rpg, and finally 7 games in the Lithuanian League where he managed to average 3.9ppg and 0.7rpg from limited minutes on the court.

Darden is no stranger to Spanish Basketball after playing for Unicaja Malaga in the ACB during the 2011-2012 season. During his time with Malaga Darden played 10 Euroleague games and averaged 8.0ppg and 3.4rpg.
