Thaddeus McFadden signs with AEK Larnaca

Thaddeus McFadden (188 cm. Fairmont State’09) has agreed terms with Petrolina AEK Larnaca from Cyprus (Division A). He already played in Cyprus last season for another team, Cytavision Apoel Nicosia, and was the 2nd leading scorer of the league with an average of 14.1 ppg. He also lead the league in steals with an average of 2.5 stpg. Thaddeus McFadden won the Cypriot Championship with Cytavision Apoel Nicosia. McFadden played college basketball at Fairmont State. There, he was the second leading scorer of the entire NCAA 2 with an average of 25.4 ppg. Before moving to Cyprus McFadden spent three and a half seasons in the Czech Republic and half a season in Germany (New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig). In the German Bundesliga he only averaged 5.4 ppg, which was the only time in his career that he averaged less than 14 ppg.
