Taylor Rochestie stays with Novgorod

BC Nizhny Novgorod (Russia-VTB) has added Taylor Rochestie (185 cm, Washington State’09) to their ranks this 2014-15 season. Rochestie is an American player who also holds a Montenegrin passport, allowing him to join the Montenegrin National Team beginning 2012 up to the present.

He began the 2013-14 season playing for Montepaschi Siena (Italy-SerieA). Taylor played 10 games for them in the Euroleague and averaged 6.5 ppg and 1.7 apg. In the domestic Italian league he averaged 7.1 ppg and 3.0 apg in 13 games. In January 2014 Rochestie moved to BC Nizhny Novgorod. He managed to log a dozen games for his new team as they competed in the Eurocup, where he averaged 14.3 ppg and 4.8 apg. In the VTB United league he played 17 games and was able to average 14.9 ppg and 3.9 apg.
