Tadas Klimavicius out six months with Torn ACL

Tadas KlimaviciusZalgiris Kaunas’s (Lithuania-LKL) frontline suffered another blow Tuesday night when Tadas Klimavicius (2.04m) left a Lithuanian league game with a knee injury. On Wednesday the worst was confirmed when team doctors found a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the player’s right leg. He is expected to undergo surgery in the coming days. The anticipated recovery time is six months. Klimavicius has played all five of his Euroleague seasons so far with his hometown team, Zalgiris. Last season he averaged 2.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in 16 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games. Klimavicius joins center Robertas Javtokas, who will miss the entire regular season after foot surgery, on the sidelines.
