Stratos Koukoulekidis to coach in China

Greek coach Stratos Koukoulekidis is heading to China to be the head coach of Jin Qiang Sichuan (China, NBL). Sichuan is struggling in the top league in China, sitting 7th in the 10 team standings with a 7-11 record. The team has now turned to the experienced Koukoulekidis to revive their fortunes this season.

Stratos Koukoulekidis will replace the outgoing Guangqi Li at Sichuan and he brings with him experience of coaching in a number of European leagues. He has enjoyed two spells in Macedonia with Strumica (Superleague) where he finished the 2006-2007 regular season in 1st place. The 53-year old Greek has also coached in Cyprus with Apollon Limassol (Division A) and extensively in his native Greece.
