Sigurdur Thorsteinsson pens with Solna

Sigurdur Thorsteinsson (204 cm) has put pen to paper on a contract with Solna Vikings in the Swedish Basketligan that will see him wear the team jersey for the 2014/2015 season. The Iceland native has spent this last three seasons playing for U.M.F Grindavik (Iceland, Dominos League). During the 2013/2014 season the centre featured in 35 games and offered solid averages of 15.8 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.

During the 2012/2013 campaign Sigurdur Thorsteinsson played 33 games for Grindavik and averaged 12.0 points and 7.5 boards per game. The 26-year old have never played club hoops outside of Iceland, making this his first time in another pro league.
