More than anything, we know that Basketball is not only a U.S. sport anymore.
Former NBA player, Shavlik Randolph (208 cm, Duke’05), is headed to Puerto Rico. He has been signed for this season by the Cangrejeros de Santurce from Puerto Rico’s BSN. He is expected in Puerto Rico as soon as he finishes his stint with the Foshan Long Lions from China’s CBA. The 30-year-old has played a total of 21 games for Foshan so far and has averaged 33.3 ppg and 14.5 rpg.
Before he signed with the Lions, Randolph played for the Washington Wizards in the Vegas Summer League and up to the NBA’s pre-season. He averaged 7.3 ppg and 7.4 rpg in four games in the Summer League. Shavlik has played for several NBA teams throughout his pro career. Aside for the Wizards he has played for the Miami Heat, Portland Trail Blazers, and the Philadelphia 76ers.
