Sharrod Ford to Universitesi Istanbul

Sharrod Ford (206 cm, Clemson’05) will suit up for Turkish second tier club Acibadi Universitesi Istanbul (TB2L) over the coming season the team announced. The American is a very experienced player who has hit the hardwood all over Europe and the USA, including a brief stint in the NBA. Last season Sharrod Ford played for Paris-Levallois in the French ProA and Eurocup, and it was a good personal season for him.

The 33-year old rolled back the years with impressive averages. In the ProA the power forward played 34 games and averaged 11.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game, while through twenty Eurocup contests he logged 15.0 points and 8.9 rebounds per appearance, making his the best rebounder in the competition.

Sharrod Ford has previously played in Germany, Italy, and the NBA, where he represented the Phoenix Suns.
