Sammy Monroe returns to Al Gharafa

Sammy Monroe (198 cm, Newberry’07) is set to return to his former team Al Gharafa Doha (Qatar-D1) this 2014/15 season. He played for them briefly in the 2013/14 season. Al Gharafa is currently in fourth place in the D1 league standings with their record of 13-5. The 30-year–old Monroe will now get a chance to make an impact for this team. Sammy last played in 2014 for Mineros de Caborca (Mexico-CIBACOPA). He played 13 games for the Mexican team and was able to register averages of 19.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, and 3.5 apg.
