Rodney Alexander picked up by Grindavik

Rodney Alexander (201 cm, Oklahoma City’09) has agreed to terms with U.M.F. Grindavik from Iceland’s Dominos league for the 2014-15 season. This will be the 27-year-old Alexander’s second time to sign with a team from Iceland during his career. He played for IR Reyjavik in 2011-12.

Rodney began the 2013-14 season playing in Mexico’s LNBP for Correcaminos UAT Victoria. In 31 games in the Mexican league he averaged 15.5 ppg and 6.3 rpg. In February 2014 he transferred to Israeli National league team Ironi Kfar Hamaccabia Ramat Gan. Alexander played a dozen games for Ironi Ramat Gan and produced averages of 15.5 ppg and 8.5 rpg.
