Radnicki fires Australian Steven Markovic

Steven MarkovicKK Radnicki Kragujevac from Serbia has fired Australian import Steven Markovic. The reason that Radnicki gave for the termination was that in a recent game against Partizan, Steven Markovic refused to enter the game after a tim-out.

Radnicki is looking back at a couple of very turbulent weeks. They had a catastrophic performance in the Serbian league and didn’t manage to secure a spot in the Euroleague via the Adriatic League Final Four.

In addition, starting pointguard Aleksandar Caplin is injured. That makes the decision to fire his back-up Markovic risky. Steven Markovic was in his third season with KK Radnicki.

Radnicki also fired American Kyle Visser (211 cm, Wake Forest´07) a few weeks ago and also let Australian Mark Worthington go in February.
