Pops Mensah-Bonsu headed to Milano

Pops Mensah-BonsuPops Mensah-Bonsu (206 cm, George Washington’06) is headed to Italiy Serie A team Olimpia Milano. The national team player for Great Britain at the past Olympic Games is expected to replace Richard Hendrix.

Pops Mensah-Bonsu is expected in Italy this week for the medical exam, after which the contract will be in effect until the end of the season.

Initially, Pops Mensah-Bonsu was supposed to play for Maccabi Tel Aviv this season. Last season he played for Besiktas Milangaz with whom he won both the Turkish championship as well as the Eurochallenge. Previously Pops-Mensah-Bonsu also played in France, Spain, Russia, Italy and the NBA.
