Phil Martin signed by B&W Opava

Phil Martin (193 cm, UC-Riverside’12) has been signed by BK Breda & Weinstein Opava from the Czech Republic’s NBL. Martin’s addition is the second one for B&W Opava recently. They have also signed local player, Radim Kramny (215 cm). The addition of both players is intended to bolster the team’s roster as it will compete in Group A2 in the NBL’s Stage Two Standings.

Martin is a rookie fresh out of the University of California Riverside. Even though he was drafted in 2012 by the D-League’s Iowa Energy in the third round (48^th overall), Martin has not appeared in any games for the Energy.

Martin averaged 17.5 ppg and 5.6 rpg in his senior year at UC Riverside. In 2012 he was named to the All-Big West First Team.
