Omari Johnson lands with BdR Valladolid

Spanish Liga Endesa team Blancos de Rueda Valladolid has added Jamaican-American player Omari Johnson (205 cm, Oregon State’11) for 2013-14. The Kingston-born Johnson began his 2012-13 season with the Canton Charge from the D-League, but in December 2012 he headed up North to play for the Summerside Storm from Canada’s NBL.

In 30 games in the Canadian league Johnson averaged 18.8 ppg and 9.0 rpg, helping them reach the NBL Finals in 2013. His performance last season was impressive enough to get him invited to play in the Canadian NBL All-Star Game in 2013.
