More than anything, we know that Basketball is not only a U.S. sport anymore.
Nigel Wyatte (204 cm, Wagner´04) has signed in France with Pro B team JSA Bordeaux Basket. It is a temporary contract to replace the injured Nate Carter (201 cm, Oklahoma’07). Bordeaux is really struggeling this season and is currently in last place of the Pro B with a 2-15 record. Interesting to know that the President of the club is NBA player Boris Diaw (San Antonio Spurs). Nigel Wyatte is a familiar name in France since he has played there the last since the 2008/2009 season in both the Pro A (Paris-Levallois) and the Pro B (ESSM Le Portel Cote d’Opale). Wyatte also played in Spain (CAI Huesca La Magia, Celso Miguez and Caja Rural Melilla) as well as in the Netherlands (Cape Holland Den Helder). While playing for Wagner in college, Wyatte was an All-NEC 1st Team selection and voted All-NEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2004.
