Mike Oppland signs with Black Star

Mike Oppland (204 cm, Valaparaiso’06) will soon be joining Black Star Mersch from Luxmebourg’s Total league. Black Star did poorly in 2012-13 finishing with a league-worst 2-22 record. Clearly, some changes are needed in order for the team to improve on their performance coming into 2013-14. Oppland will get a chance to bolster their roster and aid them in getting more victories.

Oppland spent the 2012-13 season playing for the Allianz Swans Gmunden from Austria’s A Bundesliga. Mike, who has a twin brother Dan who is still with Gmunden, played 34 games for them and logged meager averages of 5.0 ppg and 2.6 rpg.
