Michael Sweetney added by Guaiquries de Margarita
Michael Sweetney (203 cm, Georgetown’03) has been added by Guaiqueries de Margarita from Venezuela’s LPB. Sweetney was re-signed by Vaqueros de Bayamon from Puerto Rico’s BSN earlier this year. Sweetney has not played for the Vaqueros post-extension. He was given a new contract after he was able to lose an amount of weight acceptable to the team’s standards.
Now that Sweetney has moved to Venezuela, he brings both experience and size to Guaiqueries. In 2012 he averaged 13.1 ppg and 8.0 rpg for Vaqueros de Bayamon.
Guaiqueries are currently ninth in LPB standings with a record of 1-4. They are hoping that the addition of Sweetney will turn things around in their favor moving forward.
