(Metta) World Peace comes to China

Metta World Peace (201 cm, St. John’s’99) is beginning his international career and he’s kicking it off in China, joining the Sichuan Blue Whales (CBA). The often controversial, yet talented enforcer is a one-time NBA champion and can list many NBA teams on his resume. He last played for the New York Knicks during the 2013-14 season and there he was able to average 5.0 ppg and 2.1 rpg in 28 games before being released in February 2014.

Before joining the Knicks, Metta World Peace spent four seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers and won an NBA title with them in 2010. In 2012-13, his last season with them, he averaged 12.1 ppg and 4.9 rpg.
