Metta World Peace agrees with Cantu

It’s official! Metta World Peace (201 cm, St. John’s’99) will be making his way to the Italian Serie A (and Eurocup) after agreeing with Acqua Vitasnella Cantu. World Peace began his international career this 2014/15 when he signed with Chinese CBA club Sichuan Blue Whales. He played 15 games for them and averaged 19.0 ppg and 6.0 rpg, before departing the team in December 2014.

His last run in the NBA was in 2013/14 when he played 28 games for the New York Knicks. Metta was used sparingly and dealt with a few injuries that season. He averaged 5.0 ppg and 2.1rpg before his release in February 2014.
