Martin Rancik signs with CEZ Nymburk

Veteran of Spanish pro hoops Martin Rancik (204 cm, Iowa State’01) will be playing in the Czech Republic this 2013-14. The 35-year-old Slovakian player has been added by CEZ Basketball Nymburk (NBL) for the season. He’s been a member of the Slovakian National Team from 1999 to 2003 and then again in 2010.

Even though he has spent most of his career playing in Spain and Italy, in 2012-13 Rancik played for the 2013 Slovakian Extraliga champions, BK Inter Bratislava. He logged 35 games for them and averaged 21.5 ppg and 8.2 rpg, showing that he still had a lot left in his tank. He also helped his team reach the Slovakian Cup semis in 2013.
