Marqus Blakely rejoins Riesen

Marqus Blakely (194 cm, Vermont ’10) has returned to Germany and is training with Neckar Riesen Ludwigsburg (Germany, BBL) the team he left just three weeks ago. Blakely joined with Riesen in January but had to depart the outfit after just two games due to family reasons; during those two games he averaged 9 points per game.

It has been a roller coaster season for Marqus Blakely but he is now back training with Riesen and a decision will be made on his future within the next few days. During this campaign Blakely pre-seasoned with the Los Angeles Clippers (NBA) before he moved to a try-out with Bonn (Germany, BBL) where he failed a medical.

Blakely will now be hoping to kick-start his season and recapture the kind of form that helped him play 14 times for the Houston Rockets (NBA) during the 2011-2012 season.
