Mario Austin deals with Valdivia

Chilean outfit Club Deportivo Valdivia (Liga Nacional) announced the signing of American Mario Austin (206 cm. Mississippi State’03) to the team roster for the 2015/2016 campaign. The power forward will suit up in Chile for the first time, but he is a well-travelled professional who brings lots of experience with him. Indeed, Mario Austin has previously played Kuwait, Iran, Argentina, Ukraine, Puerto Rico, Spain, China, Turkey, Italy, Russia, and Israel. He has played hoops on four continents.

Last season Mario Austin played for KB Peja in the Kosovan SuperLeague, featuring in seven games and numbering 6.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per appearance. The 33-year old was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 2003 but never played in the NBA.
