Marcus Smallwood leaves Jindrichuv Hradec

Marcus Smallwood (200 cm, Northern Illinois’04) is leaving the Czech Republic team BK Lions Jindrichuv Hradec. Smallwood is leaving the team to return to the USA due to family reasons. He had already played in one game during his try-out period and was productive with a double-double, scoring 11 points while grabbing 10 boards in just 18 minutes on the court.

In 2012-13 Marcus played in Germany’s ProA, where he’s had much experience. He suited up for VfL Kirchheim Knights. In 29 games he averaged 11.1 ppg and 7.9 rpg, while also contributing on the defensive end with 1.1 bpg.
