More than anything, we know that Basketball is not only a U.S. sport anymore.
Esteghlal Qeshm from Iran’s Superleague has signed Belgian-American Marcus Faison (196 cm, Siena’00). Faison started the season with BC Amia Tbilisi from Georgia’s Superleague. He garnered averages of 6.3 ppg and 1.2 apg in six games in the EuroChallenge. He averaged 8.9 ppg and 2.7 apg playing for Tbilisi in the Georgian Superleague.
Before he played in Georgia he served as an import for the Petron Blaze in the Philippines’ PBA. In five games as a starter, the 34-year-old averaged 15.2 ppg and 4.5 rpg in the PBA Governor’s Cup in 2012. Fiason, who got naturalized after playing in Belgium for many years, has also played in Ukraine, Greece, Turkey, Germany and Spain.
