Manuchar Markoishvili to CSKA Moscow

Russian powerhouse club CSKA Moscow has landed Georgian forward Manuchar Markoishvili (196 cm) for the 2014-15 season. The 27-year-old veteran played the 2013-14 season for Galatasaray Medical Park Istanbul (Turkey-TBL). Manuchar appeared in 10 Euroleague games for Galatasaray and averaged 7.9 ppg and 2.5 rpg. In the domestic Turkish TBL he logged 20 games and posted averages of 9.1 ppg and 2.0 rpg, helping his club reach the league finals in 2014.

Prior to his stint in Turkey, Markoishvili played three and a half seasons for Pallacanestro Cantu (Italy-SerieA). In 2012-13 he played 17 games in the Italian league and averaged 13.0 ppg and 3.4 rpg. He also appeared in 10 Euroleague games and averaged 12.6 ppg.
