Manu Ginobili to miss the World Cup

Manu Ginobili
Argentine national team and San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili (198 cm) is a doubt for the FIBA 2014 World Cup and is likely to miss the competition. While playing a pivotal role in the San Antonio Spurs winning the NBA championship, Ginobili fractured his right fibula and played the finals series with that slight break.

The fracture was first noticed when it bothered the player through the Western Conference run in, and a routine physical showed the fracture. It was evident off the floor too as fans could see Manu Ginobili limping during the NBA Finals series against the Miami Heat. The 36-year old will now visit a foot specialist for a second opinion, but as it stands the player will miss out on representing Argentina at the World Cup.
