Mads Gertz released by Enel Brindisi

Italian Serie A club Enel Basket Brindisi has decided to part ways with Danish player Mads Gertz (190 cm). Gertz was added by the team a few weeks back, but does not fit the vision of the team’s future. Hopes are high for Enel Brindisi to perform well in the Italian league this 2014/15. The team is off to a good start and managed to grab a win at home against Pesaro. They also recently made it to the semifinals of the Italian Cup 2014.

Mads played at home in 2013/14 for the Svendborg Rabbits (Denmark-Ligaen). The 18-year-old played just six games and averaged 1.7 ppg and 1.0 apg. He is still young and will look for a new team now that he has hit free agency.
