Libertad breaks the Union with help from Ricky Sánchez

With excellent teamwork, Libertad Buenos Aires from Argentina beat its archrival, Club Atlético de Santa Fe, in a landslide victory, 91 to 64. This was Libertad’s third prep-match, which served as a testing ground for the new player, Ricky Sánchez (from Puerto Rico, played in the NBA development league).

Ricky averaged 11.6 ppg and 4.2 rpg while playing with the Idaho Stampede in the 2006 season of the development league. In 2008, Ricky helped the Stampede win the Development League by beating the Austin Toros. He then played with the Halcones Rojos in the Mexican League for the 2009 season.

Libertad will play against Union once again this Friday. The matches have been good for preparing the team for the Sancor International Cup that will start in Montevideo, Uruguay on the 5th of September.
