Kurt Looby joins Telekom Baskets

Antiguan-American big man Kurt Looby (210 cm, Iowa’08) will be playing for Telekom Baskets Bonn from Germany’s BBL this 2013-14 season. In 2012-13 Looby played for Polish club Trefl Sopot (TBL). He played six games for them in the Eurocup and averaged 3.7 ppg and 3.0 rpg. In 34 games in the Polish league, Kurt posted averages of 5.6 ppg and 5.0 rpg. That season he also helped Trefl Sopot win the Polish Cup.

In 2011-12 he was playing in Germany for EnBW Ludwigsburg and in 34 games he averaged 7.0 ppg and 5.3 rpg. In May 2012 he moved to Puerto Rico and signed with the Vaqueros de Bayamon (BSN). There he hit averages of 3.4 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 1.6 bpg in 14 games.
