Kambala moves for Koleji Ankara

Pi Koleji Ankara (Turkey, TB2L) are close to capturing the signature of Kaspars Kambala (206 cm, University of Nevada Las Vegas’01). The decorated Latvian center will be joining the team’s bid to fight off relegation. It has been a poor campaign for Koleji Ankara, who are currently one from last in the TB2L standings the team is looking to improve upon its 3-14 record.

Kambala is a highly decorated player, after graduating from UNLV in 2001 as the school’s all-time free throw record holder Kambala played in Russia, Bulgaria, and Spain. However, he has been a regular in the Turkish game, playing for Pilsen Istanbul, Fenerbache, and Aliaga Petkim. Most recently, Kambala played with Turk Telekom Ankara during the 2011-2012 season, sporting averages of 11.7ppg and 4.5rpg over 6 games.
