Juwann James moves to Lions de Geneve

juwann jamesJuwann James (1.98m, college: JMU) has agreed to terms with Lions de Geneve (Switzerland-LNA) for the 2012-13 season. James arrives from Denain ASC Voltaire (France-ProB) where he averaged 14.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. Prior to that he was with Vendee Challans Basket (France-NM1), where he contributed 16.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game over 30 games. He started with Neptune Cork (Ireland-SuperLeague) and was the league’s top scorer, tallying an impressive 33.3 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 2.5 steals per contest. James finished his collegiate career at James Madison University averaging 13.1 points (1,456 total), 5.8 rebounds and 29.1 minutes player per game over four years. In those four years he played 111 games, starting 88.

    I understand your comment, but what about if they win the championship?? It’s clearly the objective! It’s not about being part of any swiss team…

    Terrible move career-wise! He should have been ending up with another Pro B team or a league like Belgiuam or Germany. The Swiss league is not providing the same exposure level, unfortunately.
