Junior Hairston joins with Stjarnan

Stjarnan (Iceland, Dominos League) has added Junior Hairston (203 cm, Towson’09) to the team roster for the 2013/2014 season. Injury hampered the forward´s progress at the start of the 2012/2013 season before he joined Final Spor Genclik Bursa (Turkey, TB2L) in February. The American played three times for the Turkish clubs and offered averages of 7.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

It will not be the first time that Junior Hairston has played in Iceland. He played for Thor Thorl in the Express League at the end of the 2011/2012 season over sixteen games and averaged 17.7 points per game. The 28-year old also finished as the best blocker in the Express League with 3.7bpg and completed an impressive double-double stint as the 2nd best rebounder with 12.3rpg.

Hairston has previously played in Finland and the Netherlands.
