Jonathan Gibson transfers to Petrochimi

Jonathan Gibson (188 cm, New Mexico State’10) is moving to the Iranian Superleague to play for Petrochimi Bandar Imam Harbor. Gibson will be tasked to take the reigns of the team’s backcourt and orchestrate their offense.

The 26-year-old guard is making the move from China’s CBA where he played for the Zheijiang Guangsha Lions. In 35 games Gibson was able to display his scoring prowess as he put up averages of 32.2 ppg and 5.9 apg. He also played one game for the Guangdong Southern Tigers and Jonathan remained consistent and delivered 37 points and seven assists for the outing.
