Joel Freeland inks with CSKA Moscow

British international player Joel Freeland (208 cm) is headed back to Europe after a stint across the pond, playing in the NBA. Freeland has agreed to terms with CSKA Moscow (Russia-VTB) and will be playing for the Russian powerhouse in 2015/16. The 28-year-old big man played for the Portland Trail Blazers in 2014/15. He logged 50 games for them and posted averages of 3.4 ppg and 3.8 rpg. His team won the Northwest Division championship and was eliminated in the semifinals of the NBA Playoffs in 2015. He played 61 games for Portland in 2013/14 and averaged 2.9 ppg and 3.5 rpg.
